We had an excellent Competition and Inter-Club League Finals Day at Potters Bar on Saturday 7th September on a dry but fresh to chilly day.  Our thanks go to Potters Bar for their hospitality, and to all the bowlers for making it an excellent and  memorable day.

SADBA Charity Gala

SADBA Charity Gala 29 August 2019

A great day was held at Harperbury Bowls Club where 20 teams competed in the fun and friendly annual President’s Charity Gala.   Thanks go to Harperbury for being excellent hosts and to all who participated.   Players and visitors were all very generous and £400 has been raised for the RNLI.

It was a close finish with the winning teams only 3 points apart.. Harpenden Bowling stones came 3rd, Potters Bar ASH 2nd and the winners were Hatfield 2.   Well done to all of them.

SADBA Finals Day 2019

SADBA Finals Day – 7th September 2019

The SADBA Finals Day will be held at Potters Bar Bowls Club on Saturday 7th September 2019.  Details of the the teams competing and the order of play with approximate start times for each match are now available and can be downloaded here.

The Rules of the day and details for  food ordering have also been issued to SADBA Clubs and teams playing but all visitors will be very welcome and can also order refreshments via the SADBA Secretary, Michael Woodhams. Click here to download details.

Bob Vise Final

Bob Vise Final

The Bob Vise Final  between Townsend and Harpenden was  held at North Mymms Bowls Club on Monday 26th August..  It was an excellent morning well organised by North Mymms and played on a superb green..  Thanks go to them for a match well organised with excellent hospitality.

The victors were Harpenden after a thrilling match with some outstanding bowling from both teams.  The result was  settled only in the last few ends of the Pairs match after all others had completed.

Many congratulations go to Harpenden.
