PRESIDENT’S SUMMER TOUR 2025

Jan Southwell, our Deputy President in 2024 and President elect for 2025 is planning a bowls tour to Suffolk from 23rd to 27th June based at the Warner’s Gunton Hall hotel near Lowestoft. Jan is planning that the event shall be run by combining the tour of his own Club, Potters Bar, with that of SADBA in his Presidential year. All members of SADBA Clubs are welcome.

However, early booking is essential to guarantee a place as there promises to be a high demand and numbers are limited to 50. Details of the Tour are in the poster attached, in pdf format, plus a booking slip in word format to notify Jan of your interest with your deposit. The deadline for booking your place is 18th September.

President's Welcome Message

This year, for the first time in our history, we do not have a President in post so matches and other functions during the year will each be led by one of our Officers. We do, however, have a Deputy President, Jan Southwell, who was our President in 2018. Jan is unable to fulfil full Presidential duties this year but looks forward to being our President in 2025.

Despite the fact that we have few new faces wanting to step forward to lead SADBA into the future, we have an exciting and promising year ahead, both outdoors and indoors. As usual our Inter-Club League matches are fully subscribed and our Competition entries are up once again reflecting the keen interest in the association and competitive bowling.

With a Deputy President in place our Bob Vise final will be at Jan’s own Club, Potters Bar, on August Bank Holiday Monday. Our Finals Day will once again be at Harpenden Bowls Club which proved to be an outstanding venue in 2023 with excellent facilities and support from the Club.
