President's Welcome Message
It is a great honour to be elected President of St. Albans & District Bowling Association for the coming Season and I hope to follow the example set by Terry Atkinson, who has done an absolutely marvellous job not only coping so well with the Pandemic, but also without the comfort of a Vice President to help out with all the duties of his Office over the past 3 years.
I make no apology for repeating Terry’s words in saying that SADBA desperately needs active new blood to assist in its administration, otherwise there may not be any friendly competitions to look forward to in 2024.
I thank my own club (Harpenden) for its support in allowing me to be your President for 2023.
I have chosen “Sense” as my charity and hope that you will give it your generous support. “Sense” is the National Charity for people (especially children) who are deaf-blind or have complex disabilities. They desperately need our help in these financially stringent times.
We all look forward to an exciting year of competitions and it will be my pleasure to support you as much as I can, visiting your clubs and indeed entertaining bowlers from other Districts.
I wish you all a great bowling experience in 2023.
