ALL SADBA FIXTURES, COMPETITIONS AND LEAGUE MATCHES HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The Association has suspended bowling activity during the corona virus crisis in order to be responsible to all our bowlers and to adhere to advice given by HM Government. We know that bowls Clubs are also taking a similar stance.
The Competition and Inter-Club League cards have not been issued but 2020 SADBA Handbooks will shortly be available from your Club Delegate.
We will publish any changes here or bowlers may ask their Delegate, the SADBA Secretary, Michael Woodhams, or any of the SADBA Officers. Contacts details are on this website: Officers under the Contacts tab and Delegates under the Clubs tab.
March 2020
The President and Officers of the Executive have, regrettably, taken the decision to cancel the President’s tour to Devon which was planned for the last week of June. This will not come as a great surprise in the current circumstances.
In due course, when monies have been returned to the Association, all bowlers who planned to go will receive a full refund. Terry Atkinson is in the process of contacting them about refund arrangements.
Bowlers are now being invited to put their names down if they wish to be considered for selection in the summer 2020 Outdoor matches.
Delegates have been issued with Availability sheets for sharing among Club members and to put on Club Notice Boards to collate names for each match. These are then submitted to Brian Burfoot by the due date for each match.

In addition there is a personal form that bowlers should complete and return direct. This enables bowlers to plan for the season and for the District to track demand in advance of Delegates submitting Club names for each match. Please note that bowling activities have now been suspended which is expected to impact the programme at least in the early part of the season. See post here. Nonetheless you are encouraged to submit your details so we can react in a timely manner when bowling is again possible.
